HJC announce retro-styled V90 motorcycle helmet
The HJC V90 retro motorcycle helmet features vintage styling backed up with modern tech and design
FLIP-FRONT motorcycle helmets – let us face it, most are about as attractive as climbing into bead wearing waders.
There is something about the average flip-front that screams husband and wife BMW rider with matching riding gear. Or something like that…
Well, that image of the flip-front lid might be about to change, as HJC announces the V90, a flip-front lid with a seriously cool style to it. Looking like the kind of lid you'd see at the Bike Shed or some other cool biker cafe, the V90 does a pretty good job of improving the overall image of the dreaded (yet ridiculously handy) flip-front or modular motorcycle helmet.
The shell of the V90 fibreglass composite and features a bubble visor giving it a unique in the sector, retro look. The lid also features a drop-down sun visor that is activated by the top-mounted slider, although there is mention of a tinted main visor on the HJC website.
The interior of the V90 is a material called Silvercool which is a moisture-wicking fabric that’s backed up with liners that feature advanced anti-bacterial technology. The crown and Cheek pads are fully removable and washable.
The helmet comes in sizes XS (53-54cm) through to XXL (63-64cm) although just two shell sizes covering the six sizes.
The HJC V90 also comes ready to fit with a Bluetooth system and even includes glasses grooves on either side to make wearing specs while you ride a more comfortable deal.
The HJC is available for around £220, for more info head to: hjchelmets.eu
