New Dunlop Geomax MX34 motocross tyre unveiled
The new Dunlop Geomax MX34 motocross tyre has been officially revealed by Dunlop, with a focus on soft-to-intermediate terrain types.
Dunlop has officially revealed the newest tyre in its Geomax motocross range, with the new Dunlop Geomax MX34.
The Dunlop Geomax MX34 arrives this year to replace the established but out-going MX33, and comes eight months or so after the reveal of the Geomax MX14 sand-specific tyre, which launched last year having undergone development in the MXGP World Championship.
Dunlop has won each AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross championship since 2010, and 173 AMA national titles in total, and so it is no surprise that it has been its roster of current AMA motocross and supercross riders that it has looked to for development direction on the MX34.
The MX34 focuses on the soft-to-intermediate terrains “with an emphasis on softer conditions,” Dunlop says.
Additionally, the new tyre features what Dunlop refers to as “advanced mud evacuation system,” as well as new carcass material, and Progressive Cornering Block Technology (PCBT) aimed at improving grip and control.
Broc Glover, Dunlop Off-road Motorcycle Senior Manager and six-time AMA national champion, said: “At Dunlop, we pride ourselves on always improving upon our product,” said Broc Glover, Sr. Manager, Off-road Motorcycle. “With the help of pro-level Supercross and Motocross riders, plus our test riders in Huntsville, we are always innovating and progressing to develop the best tires possible. The MX34 really takes the performance to a whole new level!”
The Dunlop Geomax MX34 will be available in European markets from July 2023.
