And it’s not half bad, either

SUZUKI appears to have taken a page out of Superdry’s book for its 2018 clothing and merchandise range, which is chokka full of Japanese-inspired clothing.

Lots and lots of new kit for this year. The toaster’s our favourite though.. Check it out!https://t.co/Srcg6FboPo pic.twitter.com/bxVS1XbaSr

Heavy oriental font adorns hoodies, t-shirts and accessories alike, making for an awesome ‘Fashion street’ offering. Heritage adds retro designs – the kind you’d see on old-fashioned postcards – and t-shirts pay tribute to past champions, historic races and classic vehicles. Mount Fuji even features on one – the £24 Ichiban T-shirt. It’s a far cry from the motorcycle-covered clothing from other manufacturers.

The ‘Fashion casual’ range takes it up a notch, with smart, subtly-badged options for both men and women, including a £33 Suzuki tie, and business shirts (£42 for women and £45 for men).

‘Fashion basic’ features lots of pastel colours (ew), while the Kids range features miniatures of many of the adult option – plus a £13 teddy and a Kiddimoto walking bike (£114).

The Team and Sport ranges are much the same as before, with badged polo shirts (£30), softshell jackets (£80), hoodies (£65) and the like, while the merchandise range features everything from backpacks (£35) to £8 inflatable waterballs and miniature diecast models for £89.99 to £40 toasters.

There’s even a ‘Workshop’ offering, with full Suzuki overalls for £62 and matching gloves for £5.50.

Suzuki GB e-commerce and merchandise manager, Emma Gibbon, commented: “We took a dramatic turn away from convention with the launch of 2012 clothing range, and that has steadily evolved over the years and now become the industry standard.

"But for 2018 we’re delighted to launch a brand new range, with new styles and lines for everyone. Our Heritage collection has always been one of our most popular, so we have grown that range for this year, while the more casual lines have been bolstered with new hoodies and ladies sweatpants.

"There’s also stuff for kids and smarter, more understated lines with jackets and shirts. One of the other main areas of focus has also been on the merchandise range, as we sought to expand that further.”
