£17,890 LiveWire S2 Mulholland Lands in UK Dealers
The bike shares the same platform as the S2 Del Mar and recently announced Alpinista although features a more laidback stance
LiveWire has confirmed the UK pricing for the second of its S2 models, as the Mulholland lands in UK dealers now priced at £17,890.
Sharing the same Arrow battery and motor platform as the Del Mar and more recently revealed Alpinista, the Mulholland is Livewire's take on what an electrically powered cruiser could be. It’s also the first model from the American brand to utilise eco-friendly materials for some of its bodywork and components.
The front and rear mudguards are made from CAP Hemp, a bio-composite, while the radiator shrouds and wiring caddies are manufactured from Hylon Ocean, which is harvested from discarded fishing nets found at sea. Furthermore, the bike’s seat is covered with petroleum-free and recyclable silicone, rather than the traditional leather or vinyl. The final eco-friendly production process focuses on the Lunar White bike, which is unpainted and therefore releases no CFCs or other harmful emissions into the atmosphere - the Liquid Black option is the only painted bike.
The bike is powered by an 82bhp motor that pumps out a hefty 194ft lb of torque. The battery takes the shape of a 10.5 kWh pack, which is mounted as a stressed member, and is claimed to provide the bike with 121 miles of city range and 73 miles of highway range - riding consistently at 55 mph. Level one charging, at home via a domestic socket, is claimed to take the bike from 20 to 80 per cent in around six hours, while faster level two chargers, like those found at dedicated automotive charging stations, will slash that same charge to just 78 minutes.
The new S2 Mulholland is ready to order through UK and European dealers now, and more intonation can be found on the official website.
