AFTER putting in the demo laps on the WSB-spec 1199 Panigale at World Ducati Week Troy Bayliss has made the decision to end his development work with the Italian manufacturer, along with putting an end to any possible wildcard appearances or comebacks.

The Australian has been paramount to the development of the 1199 Panigale, along with working on the 1098 amongst other Ducatis in the past. After beating Valentino Rossi in the Diavel on Saturday, he tweeted: "Home bound tomorrow, pretty happy, let everyone know I will not test again, time for a change, don't want to hang around like bad smell."

His understanding behind hanging up his leathers is that it is now time to let the younger riders undertake the testing duties at Ducati.

At Visordown we think it's time for Troy to put his feet up and enjoy a long deserved rest.
