Donington Park's alterations in readiness for WSB in March are on course, despite being delayed by snow in December.

To qualify for FIM approval the circuit's owners are improving run-off at Redgate and the Old Hairpin. Drainage is also being improved at The Old Hairpin and Foggy's Esses. The Redgate Pub has been carefully dismantled and removed to allow the works to take place.

One more FIM circuit inspection is needed at the end of February before the International event can go ahead on March 25-27 but a preliminary inspection proved positive.

Circuit owner Kevin Wheatcroft commented: “This is a very exciting time for Donington. We’ve been working to some really tight deadlines and, although our programme of improvements wasn’t helped by the weather at the end of last year, everyone is working extremely hard to get everything ready for World Superbikes next month.”
