IOM TT: Inquest opens into Crellin death

AN INQUEST into the death of racer John Crellin, who was killed in this year's Senior TT, has been opened and adjourned in Douglas, Isle of Man.
Mr Crellin, 58, a regular TT competitor, suffered multiple injuries following an accident on the Mountain Mile. He was declared dead at the scene by the Air Medical Officer, Peter Moran.
Deputy Coroner Alastair Montgomerie paid tribute to Mr Crellin, whose interests involved mountaineering as well as motorcycle racing.
Mr Crellin achieved a third in the inaugural TTXGP, which took place on June 12th, prior to the Senior TT.
The inquest is expected to be concluded within the next one to two weeks.
