First images of Pol Espargaro in Repsol MotoGP colours
After spending the morning training in the snow, the new Repsol MotoGP rider returns home to find a late Christmas gift on his balcony!
PAPA Noel arrived a few days late for Pol Esparagro, as the newly signed Repsol Honda MotoGP rider came home to find a rather social present left for him on his balcony!
A video shows the moment Pol went from training with his pooch to ‘nearly crying’ at home, after pulling the wraps off of the RC213V he will campaign in the MotoGP class next season. The bike was fully adorned, complete with his #44 emblazoned on the nose cone of the machine.
"I'm about to cry!" Espargaro gushed after revealing the bike in the crisp winter sunshine. "Wow. I would never have guessed, this is crazy… I want to keep it here forever!"
"The number [44] looks great. I worked really hard to see this number here. It's amazing.
"This bike, with its colours, has always been the ultimate rival. It was our target."
And a target it would have been for the Spaniard, as for most of the previous it’s been the bike to beat in the class. That was until Marc Marquez was side-lined and COVID-19 stepped in to deliver one of the most wide-open seasons of recent years.
With that openness of the championship in mind, Espargaro must see 2021 and the Repsol Honda beneath him as his best chance of MotoGP glory so far.
"I dreamed about this moment so many times. To wear these colours and have this bike by my side. I will probably sleep wearing this today!
"Without a doubt, I will always remember this moment."

The MotoGP season is set to get underway at Qatar on the 28th of March, although with COVID-19 still causing chaos across the globe, it’s anyone’s guess as to whether that will take place or not.
