Arai launches Manx GP edition RX-7V Evo motorcycle helmet
Arai has launched a special edition version of its RX-7V Evo motorcycle helmet to celebrate the Manx GP, which will celebrate its centenary in August.
A new special edition Arai RX-7V Evo motorcycle helmet has been designed in celebration of the Manx Grand Prix.
The special edition motorcycle helmet has been designed in partnership with The Visor Shop and the Manx Grand Prix. Handmade in a small quantity, the Manx Grand Prix special edition of the Arai RX-7V Evo will be available for purchase on 20 July from The Visor Shop and Crossans Motorcycles.
The Manx Grand Prix celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, and the new special edition helmet - the first one to celebrate the Manx GP - is in recognition of this milestone for the event. The 2023 edition will take place on 20-28 August.
Since its introduction in 1923, the Manx Grand Prix has been one of the annual highlights on the road racing calendar, even if it is somewhat overshadowed by its Manx sibling, the Isle of Man TT Races, for which qualifying at the 2023 edition is nearing its conclusion on Friday 2 June.
Arai has been designing special edition helmets for the Isle of Man TT for over a decade by now, and its Manx GP effort is similar in its use of the famous Snaefell Course outline as a graphic element in the design, which also features references to famous landmarks and timing points, as well as the Triskelion (Three Legs of Man).
The special edition design was officially unveiled on Thursday 1 June in the Arai Village at the Isle of Man TT, and the helmet will retail for £829.99 when it becomes available on the aforementioned date, 20 July 2023.
