Stunning New Triumph Bonneville Bobber TFC Announced
The frankly beautiful-looking new Bobber TFC is limited to just 750 number editions worldwide
Triumph is ending the year on a high, as the gorgeous Triumph Bonneville Bobber TFC (Triumph Factory Custom) limited edition is revealed.
Billed as the “ultimate expression of Bobber style and attitude”, the bike features a host of trick parts and is finished in a colourway which is unique to the model. Each bike will also carry its edition number etched into the top-clamp.
Starting with the styling of the bike, which has been developed by Triumph’s in-house paint specialists at the Hinckley factory. It features a two-tone paint finish, with hand-painted marble gold textured accents in a stripe running down either side of the fuel tank. Each tank created carries the signature of the person who created it, adding to the uniqueness of each machine. there are also a host of trick carbon fibre parts which highlight the special model.
The riding position of the bike has also been changed over the stock Bobber, thanks to angled clip-on handlebars that give the new bike a cafe racer aesthetic and stance. Another change to the dynamics of the bike comes in the form of a slimmer 19-inch front wheel, a much more svelte item than is found on the current Bobber.
It’s not just the look of the bike that is new for the model, as both ends of the new Bobber TFC are suspended by Ohlins equipment, with an NIX 30 upside-down fully adjustable fork at the front, and a monoshock with linkage at the rear, which is adjustable for pre-load and rebound damping.
The braking system is equally high-spec, with Brembo M50 four-piston radial calipers and 310mm discs at the front, which are joined by a Brembo MCS master cylinder. A 255mm fixed disc and Nissin stopper combine at the rear of the bike. ABS on the Bobber TFC, as with the standard Bobber, is a two-channel system to the front and rear.
Further trinkets arrive in the form of a pair of slash-cut Akrapovic silencers, which help make the most of the TFC’s extra fruity Sport riding mode on top of the existing Rain and Road. The new mode features a more aggressive engine map and direct throttle response than is found on the standard bike. Aside from the spicier maps, the engine of the Bobber TFC remains the same as the stock bike, meaning you get a 1,200cc parallel twin-cylinder which is tuned for torque over outright power. Peak power is a claimed 75bhp, but peak torque, which is where the fun is with this engine, is a chunky 78lb ft at just 3,750 rpm.
