Triumph TF450-RC Motocross Bike Teased
Triumph Racing has just dropped its clearest images yet of the incoming 450 motocross bike, confirming it as the TF450-RC
Ever since Triumph announced it was jumping into the worlds of enduro and motocross racing with the TF250 models, all eyes were firmly on when the Hinckley brand would be stepping up into the big league of 450 MX competition.
That moment seems to be getting ever closer, as a teaser on the official Triumph Instagram channel has provided us with the clearest pictures yet of the upcoming machine.
The video, accompanied by a voice-over from off-road racing legend and Triumph technical advisor on the motocross project, Ricky Carmichael, confirms not just the existence of what looks like a completed machine, it also confirms the model’s name. Taking Triumph into the 450 class, where it’ll be able to do battle further down the line with Ducati thanks to the Italian firm’s Desmo450 MX, will be the new TF450-RC, with the final two letters of the name pointing to Carmichael’s extensive input into the project. They could also point to this launch-spec of the bike being one of multiple variants, with this first bike being the RC (Ricky Carmichael) Edition.
Another nugget of information from the video is the news that further information about the bike will be available soon, with 3 October earmarked as the day the bike will be getting its full reveal.
The date also means the official images of the bike will be arriving just a couple of days before the Motocross of Nations at Matterley Basin (5-6 October), meaning there’s a possibility of Triumph giving the new machine its first public appearance (most likely as a static display model) at the Winchester event. Should that happen, Visordown will ensure we have somebody at the event, to bring you more pictures and information as soon as we have it.
