Ex-MotoGP Suzuki GSX-RR seems to be up for sale on Facebook!
We aren’t quite sure how this has come about, but a fairly legitimate post has appeared on Facebook showing what looks like a Suzuki GSX-RR MotoGP that is being broken up and sold off piece by piece!
Now, we aren’t ones to take the Facebook Marketplace as gospel, but the images do indeed seem to show a 2021 Suzuki GSX-RR MotoGP machine, sitting on paddock stands in a partially stripped state. We aren’t sure how the bike came to be in the possession of the seller, or even if it is a legitimate bike or a genuine sale - but you can’t ignore seeing a stripped-down MotoGP machine in what is a fairly sorry state.
The seller also links to a page called Limitless Speed Up which shares images of bike meets and workshops that also seem to be based somewhere in Thailand.
And it’s not just one bike the seller purports to have up for grabs, there are full MotoGP-spec exhausts, swingarms and more supposedly going up for sale.
The bike though is what really gets your attention, and while it is nowhere near complete (and likely missing all of its engine internals), you have to admit it’d make a tidy centrepiece to any sports bike collection. There is a catch though, and it’s the price, the seller has placed a €35,000, and a further €6,500 bagging you the wheels, a ‘plate’ and a ‘pump’.
The seller also goes on to claim that worldwide shipping can be arranged and that free shipping anywhere in Thailand is included!
If it is indeed the 2021 version of the GSX-RR it could be one of the bikes campaigned by Joan Mir and Alex Rins. That would make it same spec machine Mir took to third place in the riders' standings, with teammate Rins a more distant 13th.
