Whether it be for your man cave, home bar or garage, a piece of genuine racing memorabilia is something all bike fans like to own, be it a fairing, a slither of carbon fibre or, as is the case here, something used during or after the race.

If you’re a TT fan you will be well aware of the auction lots listed in the TT Authentics sale, as they are the number boards that wait patiently in the winner's enclosure for the top three riders. These number boards are the ones that were used for the second of the Monster Energy Supersport TT races from this year. That race saw Michael Dunlop take the win, sealing a historic 25th TT victory in the process and setting a new lap record (130.4mph) in the process.

On the rostrum, Dunlop was flanked by Dean Harrison, who finished in second place on the Honda CBR600RR, and Davey Todd rounding out the podium in third place aboard the Powertoolmate Ducati Panigale.

Each of the podium boards is signed by the respective finisher in an orange marker pen, and while the board is supplied to the winning bidder, it’s important to note that the heavy rubber base, which holds the item vertically, is not included in the sale.

The Monster Energy-branded boards are the only things going under the hammer, with the winner boards from the Senior, Supertwin, Superstock, and the other Supersport races all going up for auction. And that’s alongside a host of other items of trackside memorabilia, including mile markers, and course and corner signs, like the iconic Ago’s Leap, Ballaugh Bridge, and Ballagarey (nicknamed ‘BallaScary’) to name just a few.

And unlike the world of MotoGP or Formula One, where official memorabilia can run to the thousands of pounds, the TT items seem very good value. The winner’s boards have a starting bid of £150 slapped on them, while the 21st milestone marker is starting at £100.

Bidding on the number boards is open now and ends in 15 days. Some of the other auctions are yet to begin.
