The 2016 SV650 isn't quite the bold aluminium-framed naked sportster it was when it first launched, but it's still endowed with a big sense of fun, especially for new riders.
FOLLOWING its release in 1999, it didn’t take long for the SV650 to become one of the pillars of Suzuki’s range and in 2000 it was the second biggest selling bike in Europe (behind the Bandit , no less).
With a cult following that makes Scientology look like a small book club gathering, Suzuki’s Bandit 1200 has brought big-bore grunt to the biking masses. Does the new water-cooled engine continue this reign, or relegate it now to a forgotten religion?
