New: Spidi's adventure-touring Motorrad gloves
New warm and waterproof glove mixes cowhide, goatskin and textiles
SPIDI have launched a new glove aimed at the Adventure-Touring market. Its Germanic-sounding name gives you a big clue as to the type of bike and rider that Spidi hope this glove will appeal to.
The glove uses cowhide, goatskin and waterproof textiles and aims to be a versatile all-rounder.
Here's what Spidi have to say about it:
Motorrad is Spidi's vision of a glove dedicated to modern Adventure Touring bikes. The gloves are constructed from cowhide and goatskin leathers mixed with elastic fabrics to ensure the highest level of comfort and protection. For easy control and maximum flexibility, there are Tenax Flex inserts on the pointer and middle finger. The gauntlet has an elasticized closure with high strength Velcro.
The Motorrad glove, featuring a microfleece lining, has a hollow fiber insulation in the upper hand and PrimaLoft® padding in the palm that provide a high level of warmth, even in colder climates. The waterproof and breathable H2Out membrane provides complete protection from the rain and is also a further barrier against the wind.
The palm is made of soft goatskin leather and Clarino microsuede: two materials that offer a perfect combination of softness, comfort, grip and abrasion resistance.
For rider protection, the glove is equipped with ergonomic thermoformed polyurethane knuckle guards, padding in impact areas and Keramide reinforcements. All seams are internal to prevent damage due to abrasion in case of contact with the pavement.
Moreover, always dedicated to rider safety, a second layer of cowhide leather has been superimposed along the outer side of the hand, a critical area in the event of a fall.
Reflective areas on the little fingers help to make the rider more visible.
