2025 KTM 1390 Super Duke GT Just Got Even More Radical
After introducing the 1390 Super Duke R earlier this year, KTM has taken the covers off its brand-new GT model, which is the most radical sports tourer to date from the Austrian company
Recent additions to KTM’s range have included the 1390 Super Adventure S and S Evo models, while a new 990 Duke R dropped last week. However, the new 1390 Super Duke GT might be the best of the lot.
Following on from KTM releasing arguably its most bonkers naked bike earlier this year, the 1390 Super Duke R, the GT model has rejuvenated the Austrian firm’s sports tourer range and includes some similarities to the Super Duke R.
The new 2025 1390 Super Duke GT has received an upgraded displacement of 1350cc and comprises the same LC8 V-twin engine that produces a whopping 187bhp and 106Ib ft of torque. KTM has taken no prisoners with its latest sports tourer, which it calls “more of a beast than ever before,” and that is evident by all the classy inclusions you would expect on a bike of this stature.
For the brakes, the 1390 Super Duke Evo features Brembo four-piston Stylema monoblock callipers with 320mm floating discs on the front, while the rear is equipped with a Brembo twin-piston floating calliper and a 240mm disc. A new MCS (multi-click system) front brake lever enables increased adjustability, while Cornering ABS, Supermoto ABS, as well as the new Supermoto+ and Sport ABS modes provide riders with multiple options to choose from.
KTM’s tried and trusted WP APEX Semi Active Technology (SAT) suspension is fitted front and rear. The brand’s Comfort Mode has also been heavily revised to provide a better long-distance riding experience. KTM claims a heavy emphasis went towards improving the comfort mode and that it’s the area where riders will notice the biggest difference from the previous generation model. The chassis is identical to that of the 1390 Super Duke R, meaning a ground clearance of 149mm is the same, as is the 834mm seat height.
The bike comes standard with an Akrapovic stainless steel exhaust set-up which includes two catalytic converters.
A new electronics package has been developed for the GT model, offering new and improved rider aids and a new Ride Mode concept. Its 8.8-inch TFT (H88) touchscreen dashboard benefits from a simplified menu structure, while the CCU3.0 also ensures seamless reconnection with your smartphone on every ignition cycle.
Further functionality features include an Offline Map Navigation, with a safety system integrated. It works simply with a press of a button on the all-new handlebar switch cubes. The Offline Map Navigation is integrated into the motorcycle’s connectivity unit, and can be used without syncing or tethering to a mobile phone.
The new TFT system extends to the Ride Modes, which have been completely reworked. Four modes are included which consist of Rain, Street, Sport, and an all-new Custom mode. There’s a further two optional Custom configurations and an optional Track Mode. A new Front Radar has been added, offering features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Brake Assist, Distance Assist and Group Riding. Demo Mode is also available for the first 1,500 km, allowing customers to sample all the available tech and make an informed decision on which tech pack best suits their needs.
The new 1390 Super Duke GT will be available in dealerships from January, while UK pricing is still to be confirmed.
