All-New KTM 1390 Super Adventure S Is “Most Insane” Ever, Apparently
Following in the footsteps of the new Super Adventure S Evo, KTM has released its “most insane” street version of the 2025 1390 Super Adventure S model to date
On Tuesday KTM announced a brand-new 1390 Super Adventure S Evo model which is sure to push the boundaries of what sporty adventure motorcycles can do, but it won’t be the only such bike in the brand’s 2025 line-up. Here we have the Super Adventure S - note the lack of ‘Evo’ in the name.
The non-Evo 1390 Super Adventure S is filled with new tech plus fresh mechanical bits and pieces. You don’t, however, get the Evo’s fancy ‘AMT’ automated gearbox, with a conventional clutch and six-speed manual transmission used in its place. The rest is largely the same, though, so all of this will sound quite familiar if you read our piece about the Evo.
As with the S Evo the S model features an all-new styling and ergonomics package thanks to its redesigned bodywork. It also features a new LED headlight, windshield and increased storage space.
The 2025 1390 Super Adventure S has a new frame set-up leading to an increase in stiffness, that KTM claims has improved handling and track stability. 8mm lower and 10mm wider footpeg positioning has been implemented to improve rider comfort.
The liquid-cooled two-cylinder engine has an increased displacement from 1300cc to 1350cc, and produces 173bhp and 107Ib ft of torque. KTM has redefined its engine components, and added Camshift technology will provide improved rideability in the low rpm range, plus higher peak performance, lower emissions, and better fuel consumption.
The Super Adventure S, like the S Evo, receives all-new WP semi-active suspension on both the front and rear, while the brakes come in the form of a Brembo four-piston, radially mounted caliper, 320mm brake disc, and on the rear a Brembo two-piston, fixed caliper, 267mm brake disc.
Along with new rider modes and connectivity features, the Super Adventure S features KTM’s optional Adaptive Cruise Control upgrade, which adds Brake Assistance, Collision Warning, and Distance Warning.
UK pricing is not yet available for the 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure S which will roll off the production line this winter.
