Not much was a surprise when the 2025 WorldSBK field was confirmed, however, Petronas MIE Honda is yet to confirm its riders despite the line-up of Tarran Mackenzie and Adam Norridin appearing on the entry list.

All five full factory teams are unchanged in 2025, with reigning world champion Toprak Razgatlioglu once again partnered by Michael Van Der Mark. where the changes do begin is at MGM Bonovo Racing, as the team has scrapped its two-rider set-up, while also moving to Ducati Panigale V4 R machinery.

A second Barni Sprak Ducati will be on the grid next season as 2024 Supersport runner-up Yari Montella has joined Danilo Petrucci, who secured his maiden Superbike win at Cremona last season.

Motocorsa Ducati remains on the grid next year but will do so with a different rider after Michael Ruben Rinaldi was forced to move down to WorldSSP, while former BSB rider Ryan Vickers has taken his spot.

With the official KRT team joining Bimota for 2025, the Puccetti Kawasaki team has undergone a rebranding change to the Kawasaki WorldSBK Team.

It’s in WorldSSP where some of the surprises come after Jaume Masia, who was set to participate in Moto2 for the second consecutive season in 2025, has been listed on the Supersport entry list with Orelac Racing Verdnatura where he will ride a Ducati Panigale V2.

Masia’s switch to Supersport means a potential withdrawal from Preicanos has taken place for 2025 which was somewhat expected as the team had been dealing with legal issues.

However, it's rumoured that Masia is in fact still scheduled to race in Moto2 and that he has not signed with Orelac Racing, adding further confusion to this matter. Either way, Masia has appeared on the entry list confirmed by WorldSBK.com.

Bo Bendsnyder is another name that has been listed as he too switches from Moto2 to WorldSSP, while Rinaldi and Lucas Mahias will form a very experienced team at GMT94 Yamaha aboard the new R9.
