Yamaha has launched the 2025 Tricity 125, the smallest leaning multi-wheel model in the range.

The first and most noticeable change for 2025 is the revised styling, which sees the front and rear of the bike gaining a little nip and tuck. The compact new body, heavily influenced by the larger Tricity 300, features a shorter nose, while the tail of the bike is also reduced over the previous version. The result is a scooter that looks more compact, with less of an overhang at either end of the bike. As with the Tricity 300, the new 125 gains a stacked LED headlight and horizontal LED position lights, which combine to display a letter "Y" when they are illuminated.

What hasn’t changed for 2025 is the engine, with Yamaha’s 125 Euro5+ ‘Blue Core engine arriving with Start & Stop functionality. The system kills the engine when waiting at traffic lights and starts it again as soon as the throttle is twisted. It’s both a fuel saver and an emissions reduction tool, and can greatly reduce local pollution, especially in built-up, urban areas.

Another new change for 2025 is the inclusion of a 4.2-inch TFT dash, replacing the fairly tired-looking LCD display found on the last generation bike. Aside from tidying up the cockpit significantly, the system brings a host of new features to the Tricity 125, thanks to Bluetooth connectivity. Riders can now utilise turn-by-turn navigation, and see and accept an incoming call or end the conversation. Riders can also partially view text from emails and social media messages, as well as play music and even check weather forecasts.

As with the previous versions of the Tricity 125, a Unified Braking System (UBS) is included as standard, as is Smart Key technology, meaning you’ll never be fumbling in your pockets before a ride. The UBS automatically adjusts braking force to the 220mm diameter front and the 230mm diameter rear disc brakes, optimising the braking power and providing smooth and effective deceleration that makes the most of the unique three-wheel layout.

On top of that, you get underseat storage for a full-face motorcycle helmet, front pockets located in the leg shield, and a USB-Type C socket located in the cockpit.

The new 2025 Yamaha Tricity 125 comes in three colours, Zen Green, Milky White, and Matt Grey, and will be landing in dealerships in Q3 2025 priced at £4,801.

More information on the bike can be found on the official website.
