BMW has presented motorcycle legend Valentino Rossi with a brand-new M4 CS Edition VR46 car, which ‘The Doctor’ was personally involved in designing.

There are two designs that have been created by BMW and Rossi which have been labelled Sport and Style, and both are available in 46 units each. The one-off models have been built to celebrate the seven-time MotoGP champion, and current BMW driver in the World Endurance Championship, who turned 46 a few days ago.

Better yet, some of the limited edition cars will go on sale for fans of the former MotoGP rider to get their hands on.

The Sport model has been painted in Marina Bay Blue, while the Style edition is wrapped in Frozen Tanazanti Blue colourway. Different colours aside, both cars have everything else in common including a giant 46 logo on the side, as well as bright yellow accents within the grille and on one of the spokes of the forged wheels.

"There is no other brand that has motorsport so deeply rooted in its DNA as BMW M. I am proud to be a BMW M works driver, and to share this passion. The fact that there is now a special VR46 edition, in which I was involved from the very beginning of the design process, makes me proud. When I see the BMW M4  CS Edition VR46 out on the road or on the race track later, it will be very cool,” said Valentino Rossi about the limited edition cars and his collaboration with BMW M.

While Rossi will continue to race a works BMW M car in 2025, the nine-time motorcycle champion is expected to take on a slightly less demanding schedule as he looks to focus on his role as MotoGP team owner of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team.

A first since he became a team boss, Rossi’s VR46 outfit has become the factory-supported Ducati team, taking over the role from Pramac following the Italian team’s switch to Yamaha power for 2025.

There’s no news on how much a VR46 Edition will cost as of yet, but it will likely be a significant increase over the £117,100 asking price of the standard car. Buying one of these cars will also allow you to meet Rossi at his famous VR46 Motor Ranch in Italy.
