Deal of the Day: £1000 Off A 2024 Honda NC750X

Honda may have just released an updated NC750X, but if you’re happy with the 2024, there are big savings to be had

While far from the most exciting bike in the Japanese manufacturer’s range, the Honda NC750X is well worth a look if you want a practical, great-value and economical commuter. And although Honda has only just revealed a refreshed version for 2025, the changes won’t fundamentally alter the bike, so if you’re happy to do without the tweaks, you can save a decent chunk of cash.

By decent, we mean £1,000, with Sutton Motorcycles offering a "very limited stock" of unregistered NC750X DCTs in grey and matt black for £7,799. It’s also worth noting that the £1,000 saving is in comparison to the outgoing version - the new one will likely be a touch more expensive, meaning you’re potentially pocketing even more versus waiting for the fresher bike to arrive in showrooms.

You’re missing out on the switch from a single front disc brake to twin rotors, tweaks to the dual-clutch transmission, revised bodywork, a new TFT and updated switchgear. All of these are nice additions, but all of the biggest draws for the NC750X are still present and correct.

Chief amongst these is the 270-degree crank parallel twin. The low-revving lump, which shares some bits in common with a Honda Jazz inline-four car engine, of all things, is not hugely exciting, but gutsy and stupidly economical. Honda claims 80mpg for the engine, but many owners talk of nudging 100mpg without much effort.

That engine is fed by an under-seat fuel tank, which frees up the chunk of bodywork under which it would usually hide to become a vast, 23-litre luggage compartment. This is another element that hasn’t been altered for 2025, so it’s just as good on a 2024 bike.

If this bike is just a little too sensible for you, though, we also featured a 2024 XL750 Transalp from the same dealer earlier this week, also with a handy £1,000 saving.
