Fantic Caballero Deluxe and Travel Models Land in Japan
Fantic has introduced two new models to its Caballero 700 range, including an off-road Travel edition but they are currently only available in Japan

Sadly it looks like the UK will have to wait for Fantic to release its all-new limited edition Caballero Deluxe and Travel 700 models, as they’ve yet to land anywhere outside of Japan.
The two new models feature the same Yamaha CP2-derived engine as the current Caballero 700 models, which is cradled in a steel perimeter frame with Marzocchi forks up front.
Braking is taken care of thanks to a 330mm disc and Brembo four-piston callipers at the front, while a 240mm disc and single-piston Brembo caliper works at the rear of the bike.
Where the new bikes differ from the existing models is with the styling, with the Deluxe getting a fancy flat-track-inspired Campovolo Grey colourway Campovolo Grey, which is enhanced by a three-stripe graphic kit along and black fenders.

The Deluxe name is no stranger to being used by Fantic as the Italian manufacturer has already given its 125 and 500 Caballero range the same title, but this is the first time its 700 model has received it.
Perhaps the most intriguing of the two new bikes is the Travel edition, which was first seen in the flesh at the ECIMA trade show in Milan last November.
Built for distance and conquering all types of terrain, the limited edition Travel model comes with side storage bags developed by motorcycle accessory and luggage specialists, Givi. It gets a luggage rack, tank-mounted storage bag, and a windscreen as standard.

With Yamaha not playing ball in terms of producing a proper Scrambler-style bike in the 700cc range just yet, think of the Fantic Cabellero 700, thanks to its Yamaha-derived CP2 engine from the Japanese company, as a bike that would slot in somewhere between the XSR700 and Tenere700 models.
Pricing for the two new models has been reported by Japanese outlet, Autoby, as landing at 1.8m Yen (roughly £9,550). It’s unknown whether these bikes will make their way to the UK, or how much they’d cost if they did arrive.
