Need someone to go for a ride with? Try #BikerBuddy
Scheme aims to pair-up motorcyclists looking for a ride-out buddy
WHAT'S better than going for a ride? Going for a ride together.
But not all of us have a like-minded motorcycling friend to call upon, which is where bike insurer Carole Nash aims to help.
The firm has launched a scheme aiming to pair-up motorcyclists looking for a biker buddy – called #BikerBuddy.
To take part, you have to tweet a ‘quick description of the type of biker you are, and what kind of biker buddy you’re looking for’ to Carole Nash’s Twitter handle, @InsideBikes, with the hashtag #BikerBuddy.
Alternatively you can do it by email to bikerbuddy@carolenash.com.
Digitally-excluded bikers are, we’re afraid, excluded.
The deadline is April 17 and Carole Nash will match as many entrants with buddies as possible by the end of the month.
The firm says the ‘results will be shared with the media to bring more awareness to the motorcycle world’.
British Superbike racer Leon Haslam, who is backing the initiative, said: “Some of my favourite memories come from enjoying a day out on the road with my mates and dad, spending quality time together.
“I know that some bikers struggle to find someone to bike with. It’s great that Carole Nash want to support the biking community by helping to bring like-minded bikers together.”
