If Triumph’s own, brilliantly capable, beautifully built, charismatically evocative and fine-handling Bonneville Bobber is just a bit too, well, commonplace, ‘bourgeois’ and, well, pedestrian for you – how about this, the latest from leading British Triumph Bobber transformers, Thornton Hundred.

It’s called the ‘Evo Bobber’, is again based on the popular Triumph twin platform which is Thornton Hundred’s bread and butter and is described as the first of an all-new generation of Triumph Bobbers built by the company which was started in 2016 by bike builder Jody Millhouse and has since gone on to huge global success known mostly for its bespoke, performance-enhanced, ‘hot-rodded’ Triumph bobbers.

This new bike is limited in the first instance to 25 machines and claimed to the first of an all-new generation of Thornton Hundred Bobbers encapsulating everything the successful Buckinghamshire-based outfit has learnt in its eight years in business.

The Hinckley 1200cc parallel twin is tuned up to 120bhp (up from the standard bike’s 76) yet weighs just 170kg wet due to the use of ultra-lightweight materials such as carbon fibre (both wheels and tank are carbon fibre) and titanium. The result is likely to be performance virtually no other bobber can get near.

On top of that, top-notch cycle parts are everywhere, including K-Tech suspension and HEL braking components. But, despite the accentuated performance and radical hot rods looks, the Evo Bobber is designed to be relatively practical, too, with an adjustable riding position and full keyless RFID ‘entry’.

The Thornton Hundred Evo Bobber is priced at £38,000 and is built to order on receipt of a deposit of £1000 then staged payments.
