Harley-Davidson Confirms First 2025 Models

No news is good news, a phrase that perfectly fits Harley’s 2025 model reveal, as aside from some new colours, it’s all very much as it was before

Harley-Davidson wastes no time in revealing its 2025 model bikes, although don’t expect much in the way of change just yet from the Milwaukee brand, as the new and updated models are yet to arrive.

This first announcement is more about revealing which models will remain in the market, and here in the UK we’ll still be getting the Road King Special, and recently updated Road Glide and Street Glide models. We’ll also be getting both the Freewheeler and more touring-oriented Tri Glide for 2025.

The rest of the range is TBC, meaning we don’t get to see the 2025 editions of the cruiser, adventure and sport range. That means more details about popular models like the Breakout, Fat Bob, Pan America 1250, Sportster S and Nightster will be revealed a little further into 2025.

One new feature for 2025 is Harley launching a new bespoke paint and detailing service, designed for “customers who crave a unique, show-stopping finish”, according to the press release. The service will only be available on selected models (think the high-end big-ticket bikes) and it will allow customers to specify their desired paint finish at the point of sale. Then, as the bike moves through the production line, that paint is then applied to the chosen parts and accessories, meaning the bike arrives with a factory custom finish from nose to tail. The three new paint options available to customers will be Mystic Shift, Firestorm, Midnight Firestorm, and Whiskey Firestorm.

Mystic Shift is a colour-changing paint that is claimed to shift from dark gunmetal to purple to blue and almost orange as the bike moves past. The three Firestorm options reprise a colour from Harley’s back catalogue, which can trace its roots back to the Wide Glide 1980s. The design features a “ghost fade”, in that the fade colour is only slightly brighter than the basecoat. This means in certain angles the flames are said to pop dramatically but are subtle in others. Midnight Firestorm is a dark flamed paint scheme featuring ghosted flames over a Vivid Black base with a charcoal inner glow. Whiskey Firestorm features an added mid-coat for a deeper orange shade with Ember Sunglo ghost flames with a brighter orange inner glow.

Each of the custom paint schemes will include a special black tank medallion with chrome accents and a mother-of-pearl textured background in either purple or orange.

While the press release doesn’t divulge which models will be gaining the new paint options, one could be the Sportster S. On the Harley-Davidson website, the 2025 ‘Sport’ section is incomplete, with a message advising it will be revealed later in the year. The image that accompanies the message though is what is giving the game away, as it appears to show the fuel tank of the Sportster S complete with a tank emblem featuring mother of pearl inlay and the words Factory Custom at the bottom.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for further 2025 updates and we’ll update this page as the new bikes arrive.
