HJC has introduced its new RPHA-12 ‘Kraken’ helmet design and it is available for buyers in the UK.

One of the biggest helmet makers out there, HJC is represented across different racing championships including MotoGP where it managed to sign Fabio Quartararo in recent years, taking the Frenchman away from Scorpion with whom he began his premier class career.

One of the reasons HJC is a popular brand is not just the quality of its helmets, but the continued efforts to provide quirky and different styles with its lids.

The Kraken fits that bill perfectly as the helmet’s design is based on a legendary sea monster, often depicted as a giant squid.

Beyond the funky design of this helmet, protection is the most important factor and it features a Premium Integrated Matrix/P.I.M shell composition which provides enhanced shock-resistant performance and a more lightweight helmet using reinforcement materials that include Carbon-Aramid hybrid and natural fibre.

It comes with a Pinlock ready HJ-42 visor and provides 99 per cent UV protection. It is anti-scratch coated with a two-way pivot ratchet that provides smooth ratchet movement & improved sealing.

Furthermore, its ACS (Advanced Channelling Ventilation System) has four intakes for air flow and three exhausts to get rid of pesky fogging, as well as side exhaust vents to lessen wind noise.

The new helmet’s crown and cheek pads are both removable and washable, while the RPHA-12 helmet comes standard with both 2D clear and light smoke visor, a chin curtain and breath deflector.

The double-D ring locking system is also part of the lid’s make-up, and of course, it is ECE R22.06 approved.

Customers in the UK can buy the new HJC RPHA-12 Kraken helmet by going to HelmetCity.com
