Moto Morini Corsaro GT is Like a Budget Ducati Multistrada
Moto Morini’s new 2025 Corsaro GT could be thought of as a cheaper Ducati Multistrada alternative
The big hitters were everywhere you turned during last week’s EICMA trade show in Milan, however, it didn’t stop smaller brands from making an impact as was the case with Moto Morini, which introduced its new adventure motorcycle for 2025, the Corsaro GT.
Let’s get straight into it: when you look at this bike the words ‘Ducati’ and ‘Multistrada’ jump out at you. And like the V2 version of that bike from Ducati, Moto Morini’s new Corsaro GT features a 90-degree V-twin engine with 749cc displacement, which is slightly smaller compared to the Multistrada’s 937cc power unit. You’ll also find that engine in the Corsaro naked bike, itself a bike with Ducati Monster vibes.
The new Corsaro GT from Moto Morini produces 96bhp with its dry sump and counter-rotating crankshaft. The engine can also be detuned to make it compliant for A2-licence riders.
The bike features a dual-channel ABS system managing 320mm discs with Brembo callipers up front and a single 255mm disc in the rear. The frame is a combination of tube steel and aluminium components, while the swingarm is also aluminium.
The upside-down fork is fully adjustable and comprises a progressive linkage set-up with a shock absorber compressed in the swingarm, at the rear. The fuel capacity is 19 litres, while the seat height comes in at 835mm. It also features 17-inch wheels front and back (unlike the Multistrada V2, which uses a 19in front) and a ground clearance of 165mm.
Availability and pricing for the UK are not known at this stage, but the Corsaro GT is set to arrive in 2025 alongside another new adventure model, that being the X-Cape 1200. Judging by other models made by Moto Morini, it’s likely to be a lot cheaper than the Multistrada and other premium ADVs.
Moto Morini is known for designing its bikes in Italy, however, China is where the various models go into production. Chinese company Zhongneng Vehicle Group acquired Moto Morini in 2018, saving the brand from potentially going bankrupt.
