MTM Kawasaki’s 2025 WorldSSP300 line-up will again consist of Mirko Gennai who was a three-time race winner in 2024 with the team, however, the other side of the garage will look very different.

Young Australian rider Carter Thompson, who claimed a podium in his first race of the 2024 campaign, will join the experienced Italian to form a very promising duo aboard the Kawasaki Ninja 400.

The MTM Kawasaki line-up of Gennai and Thompson is not the only confirmed pair, as the Kawasaki Junior Team by MTM, which is an extension of its main project, will field Czech rider Petr Svoboda and Spanish rookie Roberto Fernandez.

MTM Kawasaki team manager, Ludo Van Der Veken, said: “Finally we can reveal our 2025 plans and I’m really happy about the lineup we will have in World Supersport 300. I’m glad we could confirm Mirko, as we had a very strong first year together, as well as adding to the team a strong young rider like Carter Thompson, who is already a podium finisher in his first appearances in World Supersport 300.

“I’m really happy also to be able to welcome two more riders to our family with Kawasaki Junior Team by MTM, with Petr Svoboda, already a race winner in this championship with a great potential to show, and Roberto Fernandez, who will make his debut with us and I’m sure he can grow up a lot during this first season together with us. I want to thank all our sponsors and partners and especially Kawasaki Europe for the strong support into this project.”

Thanks to Loris Veneman who finished the 2024 campaign as runner-up in the title fight, and Gennai claiming P7, MTM Kawasaki secured its fifth teams’ championship crown. The 2025 campaign will be MTM Kawasaki’ last chance at wrapping up another title win as next season will mark the end of the World Supersport 300 category.
