New Aprilia RS660 Factory Finally Joins the Fold
Aprilia’s middleweight range has a new family member as the RS660 Factory model is finally here, joining the revised RS660 for 2025
The wait for a new RS660 is over as Aprilia has duly obliged by introducing its latest 2025 model, but with the added bonus of a brand-new RS660 Factory edition, getting us even more excited by the Noale brand’s middleweight sportbike segment.
The new RS660 Factory is a completely new addition to the Aprilia family, while the RS660 sees updates in the form of revised aerodynamics, improved power-to-weight ratio and an advanced electronic control package to boot.
Starting with the new RS660, Aprilia has completely redesigned the fairing for its hugely popular sportbike, which now features more advanced aerodynamics as it incorporates concepts from Aprilia’s MotoGP project. A large winglet is now positioned beneath the windshield, along with two smaller aerodynamically-inspired wings that Aprilia claims will improve airflow penetration and high-speed stability.
The redesigned side fairings retain the double-layer structure with an integrated aerodynamic appendage. The updated RS660 features newly-developed onboard electronics which is more comprehensive, featuring new backlit handlebar controls and a larger five-inch full-colour dashboard.
The APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) on the new RS660 now includes launch control. The new system runs alongside its ATC (adjustable and switchable traction control), AWC (adjustable and switchable wheelie control), ACC (cruise control), AQS (bidirectional quick-shifter), AEB (adjustable engine brake control) and AEM (adjustable engine mapping). As with the previous model, the Aprilia RS660 comes standard with an electronic ride-by-wire throttle and a six-axis inertial platform.
The RS660’s twin-cylinder engine features a larger diameter throttle body of 52mm - it was 48mm previously - while also producing an increased output of 105bhp compared to the previous 100bhp figure.
The RS660 Factory model features a GPS system that allows for automatic recording of track times. The bike can also be fitted with an SC-Project homologated exhaust.
Replacing the standard upside-down KYB forks on the RS660 is a set of 43mm Ohlins NIX 30 forks, plus an STX 46 shock absorber. Both parts are fully adjustable, with hydraulic rebound and compression damping, plus spring preload. Further differences include new graphics and a two-tone seat. The RS660 is unchanged when it comes to the braking set-up, with both models featuring Brembo callipers front and rear.
All three of the current RS660 colour options come with an RRP of £10,450 but are currently discounted down to £9,700. We expect the new 2025 RS660 model to go north of that, as will the new Factory model. Two colour options are available on the RS660 which are Venom Yellow and Blue Marlin.
