Norton teases new model
Fans are speculating as to what it could be...
IN TYPICALLY cryptic Norton fashion, the British bike builder has announced that it will be teasing a new model today.
Posts on its social media channels yesterday read: "Watch out, new bike teaser tomorrow..."
Fans speculated on the posts, suggesting that the secretive new bike be a '650 Twin' or the 'Atlas', which are coincidentally the same bike.
The Atlas, named after a 1960s Norton 750 twin, will feature half of Norton's in-house 1200 V-4 motor, with the same heads, valves, pistons, rods and other internals. However, unlike the V-4, production will be cheaper, and high-volume.
Norton revealed a CGI image of the model earlier this year, and said that a prototype Atlas would be at the NEC, with deliveries promised for 2019.
