SUZUKI is set to launch the long-rumoured GSR1000, a super naked making upward of 150hp, according to German motorcycle magazine Motorrad.

The magazine's mock-up of the bike - essentially a naked version of the GSX-R1000 - shows it with styling similar to the existing GSR750.

The GSR1000 is expected to use a detuned version of the GSX-R1000's 999cc inline-four engine, which makes 182.5hp and 86lbft in its existing state.

The new super naked will be unveiled at the international motorcycle show in Cologne in October, according to Motorrad.

Rumours of a GSR1000, based on a GSX-R1000 engine and chassis, have been circulating on the internet since last year.
