New Honda CRF300 Rally Gets Detail Updates for 2025
Honda’s mini adventurer has received an update for 2025 which includes new LED indicators to complement the dual LED headlight set-up
Four years on from its first foray onto the market, the new 2025 Honda CRF300 Rally has arrived hoping to be better than ever.
One of the updates to the 2025 model includes the thermal management system which has reduced how much hot air gets through the radiator, while also making it Euro5+ compliant.
Staying the same as before is the make up of the chassis, which keeps its steel frame, aluminium swingarm and bottom yoke. However, steering geometry now delivers improved stability and agility, says Honda.
Weighing just 70g the LCD screen includes 23mm speedometer numbers. Information on the dash includes gear position indicator, fuel mileage and consumption, average speed, stopwatch and rev-counter. The headlight is a compact, asymmetric dual LED unit and for 25MY, the indicators are now flexibly mounted LED units.
Like the chassis, and most of the bike for that matter, the CRF300 Rally’s 283cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine remains the same and produces peak power of 26.9bhp at 8500rpm and 19.6Ib ft of torque at 6500rpm.
The 43mm Showa inverted forks include a 260mm stroke, with spring weight and damping settings now offering improved control over a wide range of terrain and speeds. Pro-Link rear suspension also features a 260mm axle stroke. The Showa shock absorber is a single tube design. Damping rates at both ends have been revised for the 2025 model to create a more stable, comfortable platform for riders.
The front brake uses a single 256mm disc gripped by a dual-piston calliper, whilst the rear set-up functions on a 220mm disc and mono-piston calliper. In common with Honda’s CRF competition machines the rear master cylinder is now a lightweight, integrated design. The discs feature a wave design with self-cleaning abilities in adverse conditions and two-channel ABS is standard.
The CRF300 Rally is built with long distance in mind and to reflect that it is derived from parts used by its big brother, the CRF450 Rally. Extruded aluminium is used for the chain adjustment collar. The bottom yoke is also aluminium, allowing it to save weight. The rake and trail are set at 27.5 inches and 109mm respectively, while the wheelbase sits at 1455mm, and features a ground clearance of 275mm.
The bike is available in one colour which is Extreme Red with blue and white graphic set. Pricing and availability in the UK has not yet been disclosed.
