New Honda SH350i Spiced Up With Fresh Tech Updates
Honda’s new SH350i Scooter has been given a sizable tech refresh for 2025, as it also gains four new colour options
Honda’s big EICMA showing has continued with the new 2025 SC350i, which is one of its best selling scooters, and we don’t think that will stop anytime soon after it receives some interesting new updates.
The updated style for 2025 jumps out right away as a new LED lighting system has been developed. The newly-designed LED headlight features a central main beam splitting dual dipped beams, while revised side lights and reprofiled indicators offer a slick appearance. The LED taillight and indicators are positioned at the rear between an aluminium passenger grab rail.
Keeping with the subject of new light developments to the SH350i, an internal luggage light has been included in the under-seat compartment which can carry a full-face helmet. A USB-C socket can also be found in the front storage pocket, and the dash features an aesthetically-pleasing LCD display.
The seat height is a moderately-high 805mm (only 6mm more than the SH125i and 150i models). Extra storage is accessible thanks to the larger glovebox, specifically designed for the 2025 SH350i.
The USB-C socket for charging your mobile phone or laptop is the same one found in the storage pocket, and the standard SH flat floor (435mm wide) is ideal for carrying varied loads. A foldable utility hook on the front panel adds to the bag-carrying experience.
The eSP+ (Smart Power+) engine remains a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected SOHC four-valve power unit that produces peak power of 28.8bhp at 7500rpm and delivers a maximum 23.2Ib ft of torque at 5250rpm.
The engine features the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system which enables it to detect any difference between the front and rear wheel speeds, while also calculating the slip ratio and controlling engine torque via the fuel injection to regain rear wheel traction. HSTC can be switched on via a switch on the left handlebar. A ‘T’ indicator forms part of the digital display and flickers when the system is working to manage grip.
The suspension uses 35mm telescopic forks, twin rear shock absorbers, cast aluminium swingarm and an Oleo link system that’s fitted underneath the engine. Tyres sizes are 110/70R16 on the front and 130/70R16 at the rear and, for the new 2025 model, it comes with Pirelli Angel tyres. Two-channel ABS manages the 256mm disc brakes front and rear.
Alongside the upgraded ECU settings, the exhaust’s internal structure has been revised, catalyser updated and an additional O2 sensor has been included with the Primary LAF sensor to ensure Euro5+ compliance.
There are a total of six colour options for the 2025 SH350i, four of which are new. They include Pearl Nebbia White, Matt Jeans Blue Metallic, Matt Rock Gray, Matt Pearl Diaspro Red and the standard Matt Lucent Silver Metallic and Black colorways. UK pricing for the new SH350i comes in at £5,499.
