New Lanesplit Motorcycle Game Set for 2025 Release
A new online motorcycle game called Lanesplit appears to be close to completion ahead of its release
Set to be released on digital platform Steam, a new motorcycle game called Lanesplit is on the way in 2025 and looks close to completion.
An exact release date is not yet known for the new game, although the teaser from the game’s developer FunkyMouse claims the game will be available to play some time during Q1 of 2025.
That means the game will be released any day before or on 31 March and the aim of the game will be to rack up points by weaving through traffic. The points you earn will be determined by the speed at which you can navigate through traffic, but also how skilled you are in doing so.
Aiding the player will be a speedometer at the bottom left of the screen which is both in mph and kph. On the bottom right will be the points that you sore as you ride through traffic.
Furthermore, players will have the chance to choose from a wide selection of motorcycles, prioritising either raw speed and performance, agile handling or a combination of the two.
To score the most points you need to travel fast but be efficient which comes from riding close to the traffic. If you ride slowly or crash you will have your score reset and your points tally prior to that will be recorded.
A statement from the game designer said: “In LANESPLIT'S multiplayer game mode, your goal is to rack up as many points as possible before the clock runs out. Points are earned based on your speed and how skilfully you navigate traffic. The faster you ride, the higher your score multiplier, with the biggest rewards coming from close, skilful lane splitting. Crashes or driving too slowly will reset your current points to zero with your highest points being saved to the global leaderboards.”
To play the game users will need their computer to include a 64-bit processor and operating system and seven GB of storage space.
