Pirelli Agrees New Five-Year Deal With British Superbike
Pirelli will remain the official tyre supplier in British Superbike after agreeing a new five-year deal.

What a year it’s been for tyre companies in the sports world as Pirelli, which will switch to MotoGP in 2027 to become the official tyre supplier, has now agreed to remain in that role with the British Superbike championship for the next five years.
As well as supplying road tyres used by riders every day, the Italian brand has an overwhelming presence in the two-wheel racing stratosphere. It’s currently the sole tyre supplier for the World Superbike championship, as well as the Moto3 and Moto2 classes.
And while it will be leaving its post as the rubber king for World Superbike at the end of 2026, the new agreement with BSB, coupled with it taking over from Michelin in MotoGP, is a clear sign of intent from the giant tyre manufacturer. Michelin, on the other hand, will swap across to World Superbike.
The new agreement between Pirelli and BSB will see the partnership eclipse the 23-year mark and will run until the end of the 2030 season.

Giorgio Barbier, Motorcycle Racing Director of Pirelli, commented: “We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with the British Superbike Championship and support classes. BSB is probably the most successful domestic motorcycle racing championship in the world, with amazing races and a great show for the fans. The series continues to go from strength to strength, and we believe our offering within it has, too.
“We will continue to leverage this championship as a development platform for our racing and road tyres as it proved to be a perfect proving ground to test our tyres with very fast riders and in tough conditions as the British tracks are among the most spectacular and demanding ones in the world. Historically, BSB has also been a championship through which some future world champions have passed, so it’s definitely good we can continue this strong collaboration.”
What this new deal also means is that from 2027 onwards, riders in BSB that move to WorldSBK will need to learn a completely new (Michelin) tyre. That has not been the case previously since Pirelli has been the long-term partner for both championships.
