iXS launches new Gerona-Air touring motorcycle jacket
iXS has launched a new touring jacket, the Gerona-Air 1.0, complete with matching trousers, mesh panels, protective pads and plenty of pockets.
A new touring motorcycle jacket has been released by iXS, with the Gerona-Air 1.0 being released for the summer.
The time of its release is not a coincidence: the Gerona-Air 1.0 product is well-ventilated to ensure maximum cooling on hot, long, summer motorcycle rides.
This is achieved by making use of a mesh lining, as well as other, additional mesh panels across the jacket which iXS says “ensures optimum ventilation and enables good body temperature regulation.”
Of course, touring jackets are necessarily highly breathable. They are for those who enjoy long rides, rather than short dashes. But long rides also bring in the element of changeability to the weather, and wind and rain can also present a challenge for the rider's gear.
To deal with the potential for rain, iXS has made the Gerona-Air 1.0 compatible with the Montevideo-ST windproof and waterproof membrane.
Gerona-Air 1.0 also features seven pockets - two on the inside, four on the outside, and a Napoleon pocket - for strong storage capabilities, as well as a compartment for inserting a back protector. There are also protective pads in the elbows and shoulders, of course.
The Gerona-Air 1.0 jacket also has matching pants/trousers by the same name, which can be attached to the jacket via an all-round zip.
Finally, the Gerona-Air 1.0 is available in sizes from M-9XL and features adjusters in the upper-arms, elbows, and cuffs. However, it is only available in the black, grey, red, and white colourway.
Available from €199.99, or around £170, you can find the iXS Gerona Air 1.0 on the iXS website, here.
