VR46 COVID-19 face masks are now a thing!
The post-COVID-19 world could make VR46 face masks the must-have for MotoGP fans
WITH COVID-19 being what most people will remember 2020 for, it’s likely that the hangover from the global pandemic will last for some time.
One such after effect will probably the use of facemasks when out and about, using public transport, or while attending events.
With the latter coming into sharp focus these last couple of weeks, as BSB, MotoGP and WSBK begin to unveil their plans to begin racing in 2020, many race fans will be looking for ways to stay safe while enjoying the sport that they love.
Staying safe is one thing, but representing your favourite rider is another, although thankfully, you can do both – so long as you are a Valentino Rossi fan.
he VR46 Social Mask has been developed in collaboration with Trére Innovation company, leader for products and services in the high-tech and sporty apparel sector and its technical center, AREAS, the Academy for Research and Engineering in Apparel and Sport.
Produced in Italy and made of HOVER TEX, Textile Nano a high-tech synthetic fiber, ideal for all the open-air activity, produced in Europe according to Oekotex Standard 100. The lightweight and ergonomically designed mask is breathable, nonallergic, moisture-repellent, thermo-regulating, and washable at 60°c.
The aim of the project is to help people reduce the spreading of Covid-19 infections, adapting to the new rules of community relationship and mobility. The social mask acts as a barrier that reduces the risk of infecting others because it can shorten the range of the droplets that are ejected when people cough, sneeze, and speak. It is not however a medical device and does not provide full protection from infection.
Happily, the mask doesn’t look to be massively cashing in on the crisis, as the VR46 masks are available for £6.99.
