Suzuki's MotoGP Xbox handlebars

Who says rider electronic aids make MotoGP like a computer game?

Suzuki's MotoGP Xbox handlebars

SUZUKI'S MotoGP bike has so many coloured buttons on its handlebars that it looks like an Xbox controller.

The Suzuki Ecstar team posted this image on its official Instagram page with the caption 'the joypad of the riders'.

The handlebars of the GSX-RR might look like a video game but in the bike racing's premier class every button has a vital function.

In the top image the yellow button enters the menu and the red and blue buttons select the required engine mapping.

In the bottom image, the green button turns on the tail lights for wet weather races, the yellow button is the pit lane limiter set at 60kmh (important for avoiding fines), the red switch kills the engine and the blue switch is the launch control. Works rider Aleix Espargaro won't want to confuse the red and blue buttons on the start line at Indianapolis next month.

We're hoping Suzuki's next GSX-R1000 comes with the MotoGP Xbox buttons as standard.
