Martin & William remain with Tyco for 2015
...but neither of them have raced with BMW machinery before
TYCO'S international road racing team, William Dunlop and Guy Martin, is to remain unchanged despite the move to BMW machinery.
It was announced that Tyco had split from Suzuki earlier this month and said were looking to 'take on a new challenge'.
With the confirmation the Tyco have secured BMW machinery with BMW Motorrad UK, they have already seen support from BMW in Germany.
William said: “Moving to BMW is an exciting change and one I’m looking forward to. We all saw what the BMW S1000RR was capable of achieving this season, so with the expertise of the guys at TAS Racing, I’m pretty sure we can do well on the Tyco BMWs in 2015.
"I got my first international superbike win last year and I’d really like more, as it’s the class to do it in. We have a top team and I’m happy to be working with Guy again at the TT, where I think together we can be even stronger with this new package."
Neither Dunlop or Martin have raced BMW machinery before on the roads, however William's brother Michael won both the Superbike TT race and the Senior TT last year on a BMW S1000RR.
Martin added: “Moving to BMW machinery is the reason I’m still racing next year and not retiring. I’ll always give it my all and to be with a quality manufacturer like BMW is mega.
“I’m looking forward to getting on the bikes as soon as possible. It’s a new bike and I’ve never ridden it before but we all know its pedigree.
"TAS is the best team I’ve ever ridden for; they get me and I get them and we meet in the middle, which is why we’ve been successful and this new venture with BMW is just what we need going into next season.”
Michael Dunlop is still yet to confirm his plans for 2015, but it is now highly unlikely he will be back with BMW.
