Talented young rider Dominic Herbertsen will contest the 2025 Isle of Man TT Supertwin races with Melbray Racing, as the team get set for a first appearance in the lightweight class at the historic road racing event.
Herbersten will be aboard a Dunnell Manx Norton machine as he looks to build on a seventh place finish in the supertwin class last year. Details about the bike will be revealed closer to the time.
Having already been part of the Melbray Racing team setup at last year’s Manx GP, Herbertsen will have familiar surroundings while also competing for WTF Racing in other categories.
For the 2025 road racing campaign, Herbertsen will be riding a Honda Fireblade in both the superbike and superstock races, as well as the CBR600RR in supersport.
Speaking about the decision to join the TT in the supertwin class with Herbertsen, Melbray Racing team owner, Simon Warren, said: “We are super excited to have our team coming to the TT this year and having such a great talent as Dominic Herbertson riding our bike makes it even more special. It’s been a steep learning curve, but one we have enjoyed, and it is a childhood dream come true, having a bike lining up on the grid for a TT race.
“We have some wonderful sponsors joining us on this journey, so a massive thank you to Venhill Engineering, The Bike Shed London, Uggly and Co, The Shed at Laxey and Chasin’ the Racin’ podcast. Without them, this would not be possible.”
The 2024 Isle of Man TT win in the supertwin class went the way of Michael Dunlop, who will again be a major favourite at the event this summer.
