Royal Enfield to Introduce New Flying Flea Electric Bike at CES 2025
Royal Enfield’s revived Flying Flea nameplate will be on show at CES in Las Vegas as it previews its newest EV contender
Royal Enfield first showcased its new Flying Flea commuters motorcycles at the EICMA show last November, in Milan. However, a second appearance will also take place at the CES technology exhibition in Las Vegas, which began on 7 January.
The Flying Flea brand is inspired by the lightweight motorcycles Royal Enfield developed during World War II, which were dropped via parachutes from planes to be used in the battlefield. Those bikes were appropriately called Flying Fleas, and the motorcycle brand has revived the name for its two 2026 models, the C6 and S6.
The first of those two bikes is the brand’s on-road bike while the S6 features a more rugged off-road inspired look.
Most technical details about the two bikes remain a mystery, although we expect to find out more later this year, prior to the bikes landing in dealers in 2026. However, it hasn’t stopped Royal Enfield from driving home its wish to make sure the Flying Flea gets as much publicity as it can, hence the appearance at the vast CES event.
That said, a few details were released when the bikes hit the stage at EICMA, and we know the new models feature a touchscreen Bluetooth-enabled TFT dash. They both also ride on skinny 90/90/19 Ceat tyres front and rear.
The Flying Flea brand is developing its electric motor and battery technology in-house, while the company has also filed over 28 patent applications for the hardware and software that is used. Although we have no clues as to how much the bike will cost, it was confirmed to Visordown by Royal Enfield's Chief Growth Officer for EV Mario Alvisi, that it wants to keep the new model under €7,000 which is around the £6,000 mark.
