KTM claims its new 1390 Super Adventure S Evo model will ‘simply obliterate the field’ when it comes to being the go-to adventure motorcycle on the market.

Sitting at the top of its adventure range when talking about the technology that’s gone into building this 1350cc motorcycle, KTM has given the 1390 Super Adventure S Evo everything you would expect and plenty more.

First, the engine, which has seen an increased displacement of 1300cc to 1350cc and makes a staggering 173bhp and 106.5Ib ft of torque. No wonder the new 2025 1390 Super Adventure S Evi was tested on track because it's a bike that makes no bones about being as racey as any other adventure motorcycle going.

The engine has been reworked with all-new camshaft technology which improves rideability in the low rpm range. It also generates higher peak performance. A first for KTM includes its new Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) which is exclusive to the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO.

It was first seen as a prototype in the hands of former motorcycle racer Johnny Aubert on the formidable Iron Road Prologue at the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo. KTM claims that its new AMT system is one of the most innovative engine developments made by KTM in recent years.

On the chassis side of things KTM has updated the stiffness of the frame, improving handling and track stability, with 8mm lower and 10mm wider footpeg positioning.

Standard with KTM motorcycles, the suspension is from none-other than KTM’s subsidiary WP. Compared to the previous generation, the Semi-Active Technology (SAT) has been fine tuned to be more precise with consistent damping behaviour at higher frequencies.

KTM achieved this thanks to its PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) sensors and a new through-rod fork construction that combines design borrowed from Open Cartridge and Closed Cartridge suspension elements.

The bike is available in two colourways - an orange and black livery which can be seen in the photos above and a black, white and orange paint scheme.
