A new-on-the-market property in Oregon has a 33-acre motocross track as a garden, but it won’t come cheap
I was quite a lucky child to grow up with enough garden space to make a small football pitch, while full-size pitches and tennis courts were just a minute walk from where I lived, however, this takes garden space to the extreme.
A property in Oregon has 33 acres of motocross track as the garden and is a five-bedroom house that costs $3,675 million (roughly £2,825m).
Many of the current MotoGP grid grew up riding on motocross tracks, in fact, many of them still use such terrain for practice during the season and in the off-season.
Mini moto is another route that some families go down to get their child started off in the sport, but motocross remains the most popular in countries such as Spain and Italy, and having a track for a garden sounds very tempting.
Along with the 33-acre track, the house includes a guest apartment as well as the five bedrooms situated in the home. The track appears to have a freestyle motocross ramp as well, because why not.
In the United States, motorcycle YouTubers have made the two-wheel scene on social media their speciality, so you would figure this would be a dream location for social media content. But that $3.675m figure is likely to stop many people in their tracks.
One of the reasons motocross is so heavily relied upon for professional racers is the skills it helps build, with bike control being one of the major points of emphasis which is why we see so many riders produce ‘saves’ that us normal folk could only dream of doing.
