Funky Little E-Bike Can Run on Wheels or Tank Tracks
Giving off Honda Grom vibes but with major twists, this Avvenire Combat e-bike can be used on the road, off-road and even in the snow
You look at a Honda Grom and its small tyres along with a compact frame are fairly distinctive, but this Avvenire Combat electric bike looks eerily similar although it has some pretty major differences, which include a full on snow kit (including tank tracks!) to make it the ultimate all-terrain machine.
With a maximum of 5000 watts available, this unique e-bike produces a very minor 4.8bhp while reaching a top speed of 37mph, however, producing earth-shattering numbers is not the aim of this motorcycle. Instead, the Combat is built for all-terrain and it possesses the different kits to make that happen.
Whether it’s riding around the city, taking it for a spin in the trails or giving it a complete overhaul for the snow, you can pretty much do anything on this e-bike - apart from go a long way, as the range is only 43 miles.
With a weight of 110 kilos in motorcycle form, this nifty e-bike is very lightweight making it an ideal for all-terrain riding. If you want to take the bike off-road then knobbly off-road tyres are available, while the transformation into a snowmobile can be made by removing both tyres and fitting the e-bike’s matching ski set.
The bike’s instrument panel is digital, and comes with daytime running lights making it fully street-legal. It is available for $7,999 (roughly £6,500) with a discount on fully paid pre-orders.
Included in that price is the above-mentioned daytime running lights, a snow kit, waterproof components, digital gauges and speedometer and a removable lithium battery. At a time where manufacturers are looking to make a bigger impact on the electric scene, it's clear that versatility could go a long way which is precisely what Avvenire went for with the design of its Combat all-terrain motorcycle.
