Harley Davidson fiesta in Fuengirola
Harley rally celebrates 100,000th member
10,000 Harley Davidson riders are set to descend on Fuengirola, Spain, for the 16th annual European H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) rally. There will be extra reason to celebrate at this year's gathering, as the organisation welcomes its 100,000th member in Europe.
Nigel Villiers, director of the Harley Owners Group Europe, Middle East &
Africa, says: "There's a real sense of anticipation around this year's
event. Not only is Fuengirola a fantastic venue for the rally but we're also
celebrating the arrival of our 100,000th European H.O.G. member - a
tremendous achievement since our first rally in 1991."
Last year's rally took place in Killarney, Ireland, and attracted a group of over 10,000 Harley-Davidson devotees. This year's event is set to be bigger and better with riders from across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and beyond expected to roar through the streets of the popular holiday resort in southern Spain. The rally alone will be responsible for temporarily increasing the population of Fuengirola by roughly 25%."
With the H.O.G. circus coming to town, there will be a carnival atmosphere. One of the highlights of this year's rally is the new link-up with the prestigious La Dolce Vita organisation Âresponsible for some of the world's most glamorous parties. La Dolce Vita will be organising the Harley-Davidson Summer Ball on the evening of Saturday 23rd June, as well as setting up an exclusive nightclub, Evolution cc, which will be open throughout the rally.
On top of all the parties, and the opportunity to enjoy the seven beaches
Fuengirola has to offer, the rally will keep visitors busy with custom bike
shows, riding challenges, live music throughout the evenings and organised
riding tours. World famous stunt rider, Craig Jones will also wow the crowds
with his exciting stunt displays over the weekend.
Once the Fuengirola dust has settled, the next major pan-European
Harley-Davidson meet takes place in the picturesque Austrian mountain resort
of Faaker See. From 5th  9th September, riders from all over Europe will be
turning the lakeside town into a celebration of the Harley-Davidson way of
life with events and breathtaking rides to be enjoyed by all.
