Indian parent firm Polaris posts solid first-quarter profits

A tie in with Jack Daniel's boosted sales for the custard company

Indian Motorcycles is doing a sterling job according to the first-quarter financials for parent firm Polaris.

The company’s Scout and Scoout Bobber models have driven a nine-per cent increase in sales for the first three months of this year, helped in no small measure by the Jack Daniel’s limited edition which sold out in ten minutes.

This is against a low double-digit decline in sales for 900cc and above bikes in the same period over the pond
