James Toseland’s 2007 Title-Winning Bike Costs £150k
Fancy owning a piece of motorcycle racing history? James Toseland’s 2007 World Superbike-winning machine is available in the UK, but it requires breaking the bank
James Toseland took his 2007 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade to the World Superbike title, but now the prestigious bike is available to buy if you have £149,999 kicking around.
Toseland ended his World Superbike career as a two-time champion, winning his first title in 2004 with Ducati, however, his second and final championship win was just as memorable as he won with Honda aboard the Ten Kate racing bike.
Featuring an exquisite Arrow exhaust under the rear fairing, Toseland’s exact 2007 bike includes the sponsor used on the CBR1000RR from that season. 2007 was Toseland’s most successful season in the championship as he won eight races, which was five more than any of his other years in World Superbike.
The bike uses WP suspension on the front and rear, while the braking set-up comprises Nissin callipers. The next owner of this bike will be handed the bike personally by Toseland, although the first hurdle to overcome will be the hefty price tag.
Speaking about his bike that’s now gone up for sale with The Bike Specialists, Toseland said: “Here it is! My 2007, Ten Kate World Championship winning Honda! It has been my pride and joy at home for 17 years and it holds some of my most cherished memories of my racing career. It gave me the double victory at Brands Hatch on that memorable weekend where 126,000 fans cheered the bike across the line to win both races.
“It was able to beat a factory Ducati with the great Troy Bayliss on board at Phillip Island. It was able to beat Max Biaggi at Brno. Two of my greatest victories in my career aboard this incredible motorcycle that year. Here’s your chance to own an amazing piece of World Superbike history. I look forward to personally handing this special bike over to the lucky owner and thanks The Bike Specialists for assisting with the sale."
