TRIUMPH SNEAKED this one out late last week - a snappy little teaser video revealing a new Scrambler 1200, which will be released on October 24th, a couple of weeks between the Cologne Intermot show and the EICMA Milan show. So we're grateful to them for supplying some news in that dry period if nothing else.

We've spoken about this bike before - there's not much in the way of novel amazingness, rather, like the BMW and Ducati versions of this kinda thing, we'll get a retro-styled 'offroad' beastie based on the 1200 parallel twin motor used on the bigger Bonneville heritage models. Longer travel suspension, spoked wheels, pseudo-offroad rubber and a bash plate will do much of the work, and together with a neat styling job, it should be pretty decent indeed. Here it is doing a modest jump in the teaser vid.
