New Honda Rider Lands in BSB with Pathway Class
Jamie Davis will step up to British Superbikes in 2025 with Honda, doing so as part of the Pathway class
Jamie Davis will join the series as part of the Whitecliffe CDH Racing team after it confirmed its commitment to the BSB Pathway class, which allows new entrants to take part at a reduced cost and with machinery similar to a Superstock 1000.
The Pathway system was set in stone last year and Davis is one of many new BSB riders to benefit from the new set-up. While 2025 will be Davis’s first full season in the class, the British rider has previous BSB experience after making his debut in 2024 as part of wildcard appearances across the premier class and the National Superstock championship.
Davis will join Luke Hedger, who confirmed his plans with Whitecliffe CDH Racing for 2025 late last year when the team announced a switch from Kawasaki to Honda machinery.
Having raced in Spain for much of his young career, Davis will be thrown in the deep end in what is a very competitive BSB field once again in 2025, while the new season will also mark his first time riding a Honda CBR1000RR-R.
Speaking about his new adventure, Davis said: “I’m super excited and motivated to get the season underway with Dean [Hipwell, CDH Racing team owner] and the Whitecliffe CDH Racing team, especially on a Honda which will be a new manufacturer for me.
“I’m really looking forward to learning the British way as I’ve been racing in Spain my whole career – we understand it’s a big dive into the deep end and we have to take small steps to reach small goals one step at a time, but I’m all for that. I want to thank everyone around me who supports my racing and helps make this happen.”
“We're really excited to announce we'll have a second bike on the grid this season in the BSB Pathway class,” added Team Owner Dean Hipwell.
“Jamie [Davis] and I spoke via a mutual contact during the 2024 season and so he knew about our plans and goals and wanted to be part of it. He's a young lad with a lot of potential; he's aware that it will be a huge learning curve but we'll set realistic goals and grow together throughout the season.
“I'd like to again thank our fantastic team and sponsors as without them none of this would be possible. The whole team is highly motivated to make 2025 our best year to date.”
