The New Norton Commando 961 SP is Just £96.10 on a PCP Deal
Norton has launched some extremely tasty offers on all its new bikes, with one such offering Commando 961 SP ownership for less than the price of a coffee a day
Motorcycles and caffeine have a lot in common. Both raise your pulse rate once consumed, and both wake up in the morning. They are also equally as addictive.
Going into 2025 they also have Norton in common, as paying for a brand new Commando 961 SP on a PCP deal could cost as much as a coffee a day from a high street shop. But that offer is only valid today and tomorrow - so you better move quickly to take advantage of it.
The deals are part of Norton’s push to get bums on bike seats, and this latest zero-per-cent APR PCP deal from the Solihull brand has particularly piqued our interest. Going by Norton’s own PCP example (full T&Cs apply and you should always check the website directly), the £16,999 SP variant of the historic Commando could be yours for just £96.10. And that’s not calculated on a huge deposit or trade-in, with this example being based on a £2,776 down payment.
There is the obvious gut-punch at the end of it all, in the form of a hefty £12,013 balloon payment, although you always have the option of handing the bike back at the end of that term and hopping on a new deal should you feel the need. Obviously, with this offer, the annual mileage is a fairly low 2,000 a year, although given the type of bike the Commando is, it’s not likely to be the go-to machine for long-distance winter commutes and European tours.
And this isn’t even the hottest deal you can get on a Norton, as we’ve heard that a nearly new bike with just over 100 miles on the clocks has sold for a shade over £20 per month based on a £20 deposit! The balloon payment on that will, of course, be of Zeppelin proportions, but so long as you’ve kept it below the equally low annual mileage limit, you could just hand the thing back after effectively renting the bike for £20 a month!
Judd Racing, which is where the £20 a month deal has come from, are also offering brand new zero mile examples of the Commando SP for £69 per month based on a £69 deposit. You can find out more about that by contacting them directly and this is a very limited-time offer - so move fast!
So there you have it, a £3.50 oat milk latte with caramel sauce per day from CosBucks, or a British icon of the 60s and 70s, reborn for the modern era? I know which one I’d rather be waking up to.
